Description:

Portrait of Caroline Hennell (later Cara Bray) by her sister Sara Sophia Hennell dated January 22nd 1835. Depicts young girl with hair in bun and curls, white dress with full sleeves, seated, writing with quill pen. Sara and Cara were part of the Rosehill Circle of radical and free-thinkers in Coventry and were friends with Mary Ann Evans.
