Watercolour interior of room with table, chairs, venetian blind half down, at window, woman seated by fire. This is by Sara Hennell, friend of George Eliot. And probably of her home in Hackney before Sara and her mother moved to Ivy Cottage in the grounds of her sister's home Rosehill in Coventry.
On the reverse is a sketch of a city skyline and a tree branch.
