At the show the car won the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) ‘Best Coachwork in Show’ and the car came from the Motor Show to the Museum. In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in the Daily Telegraph list of the "100 most beautiful cars of all time”.
