This 100 page scrapbook details the international travels of John Sibree. He was born in Coventry in 1823 where his father was minister of the Congregational Chapel in Vicar Lane. He became a friend of Mary Ann Evans [George Eliot] whilst he was studying at his father's house, which wasn't very far from 9 Foleshill Road where she was living with her father. He also spent time with her through the Brays at Rosehill. His sister was married to John Cash who took over the Rosehill house after the Brays relocated. The book features many maps/prints of towns and some photographs
