Of the watchmaking firm of Rotherhams, he received Baker, Billing and Crow's School apprentices in 1884 and 1890 (see PA26/10 folios 283 and 301). Of Keresley Grange in 1910 when he was a member of the Drapers Company - see PA513/7/4. He was involved with the Coventry and North Warwickshire Cricket Club, early twentieth. century - see PA549/9,10. He was a Newfield School trustee to c.1935 - see PA556/14/1; PA556/27/3: PA1681/68/1. Rotherham was a General Municipal Charities trustee - see PA488/1/1/8/27,39; PA488/4/1/3 (1914). In 1915 Rotherham and another conveyed property in court 1, Crow Lane to Rudge-Whitworth (PA849/23/24 (endorsement)). He was a trustee of the brewers Phillips & Marriott's property, appointed in 1906 and still active in 1914 - see CCA/2/3/113/41 (endorsement); CCA/2/3/140/37,38.IX; CCA/2/3/430/53,54.IIIff; CCA/2/3/811/12. Appointed a Sir Thomas White's Charity trustee in 1920 - see PA2541/14.I,III (of "Rosehill", Saint Nicholas' Street, Radford by 1935). See PA2533/1,2: PA2710/11/3. Rotherhams accepted a Fairfax' School boy as an apprentice clerk in 1887 (see PA2710/11/2).
