By Edward [I] Hill senior (of Coventry, draper) to his youngest son Richard [draper] of (a) a messuage (occupied by Thomas Short, clothier) with two adjacent tenements (occupied by John Wilkinson and Walter Winhal, clothworkers) with orchards and tenter-grounds, on the eastern side of Little Park Street (between a messuage and garden occupied by the clothworker William Bishop on the north and a messuage and garden held by the weaver Thomas Bowater on the south); (b) two cottages and gardens (occupied by the masons William Briscoe and John Eburne) on the north-eastern side of Well Street beyond the gate near the town wall; and (c) a croft (0.75 a.) with barn, lying outside Gosford bars [the bars were barriers which, on several roads out of the city, were positioned beyond and predated the town wall] (occupied by Richard Perkins, weaver), lying between the highway to the south and Harnall Field to the north, which Edward [I] Hill senior bought from William Moore (of Coventry, whittawer): John Brownell (of Coventry, yeoman) is appointed attorney to deliver seisin. Livery of seisin endorsed.
