By Percival Mann (of Coventry, silkweaver) to John Boyce (of Coventry, corkcutter) of (a) a messuage on the western side of Much Park Street (successively occupied by Timothy White [mercer], John Gibbons (worstead weaver), the late Samuel Coleman and now Welshbourn Griffin) adjoining a house lately occupied by [the worstead weaver] Joseph Skeers but now by John Smith on one side and an inn successively known as the "Old Star" and the "Mitre" on the other; and (b) land with a messuage thereon which Percival Mann has built outside Greyfriars' Gate near the horsepool, extending 10 yards eastward in front by the causeway, northwards 53 yards to Pudding Croft, then to the west-north-west for 19 yards, all bounded east or south-east by the causeway towards Bullfields Croft, west or south-west by corporation waste ground, west and north-west by Pudding Croft, all occupied by [the weaver] Richard Eaves: for redemption of £300 with £5% per annum interest on 29 Sep [1764]; furthermore the fine which last Hilary term Percival Mann and his wife Catherine levied with John Boyce for this deed's property, wherein it is described as two messuages and three gardens in Saint Michael's parish, Coventry, should enure to J. Boyce for the said millennial term, then successively to P. Mann, C. Mann, their heirs and P. Mann's right heirs, but the Manns may alter uses; P. Mann will insure for £400.
