By John Duddesbury and John Padland, feoffees of Coventry city and county lands at the will of John Ruyton' (of Coventry, draper), to John Ruyton' aforesaid of four messuages, two cottages and a croft in Coventry and Coundon, also all which they had, by his feoffment, at Horwell, viz.:- (a) the former "Cardinal's Hat"; (b) two messuages with two cottages in Gosford Street, of which one lies within the gate and is occupied by William Brameche, the other and the cottages and croft lie outside the bars; and (c) a fourth messuage in Coundon (occupied by John Arlege, "bereman"): to be held for John Ruyton''s life with successive remainders to his sons George and Thomas and their respective heirs, and John's right heirs.
