By mayor, bailiffs and commonalty, for £35, to Roger Clarke (of Coventry, draper) of (a) ten cottages or barns on the eastern side of the road outside Well Street Gate, lately occupied by Thomas Sanders, alderman, deceased, having a 50-yard frontage, comprising thirteen bays plus two shores, with two little gardens to the rear, and a croft (0.75a. 18p.) which has the town wall to the east, Butcher's Company land to the north, a stone wall towards the street west and wardens' land south; and (b) a Lammas close (4a. 6p.) near Harnall Bridge which bounds Priors Orchard south, Mr. Hales' land east and [Harnall Lane] west and north: to be held from 29 Sep 1608 for 21 years at £3 per annum.
