Whereby the testator bequeaths to his wife Alice two houses outside Well Street Gate, Coventry near Hill Cross, they passing after her death to the testator's daughter Mary, wife of William Friswell of Bedworth [,Warwickshire], and, after hers, being divided equally between her children; Alice will also have rents from any other Coventry house which the testator might own, a quarter yardland in Bulkington common fields, and ground with an adjacent croft in Bulkington's Woodside Field on the northern side of Brown Leys along with the testator's Bulkington dwelling; when Alice has died, the premises at Bulkington will pass to their son William, then to Mary Friswell, followed by her son Thomas or by default his sisters Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah equally; after Alice's death, clear rents from a close and workshop (occupied by Joseph Brown of Coventry, carpenter) mortgaged to the testator's son-in-law John Goodyer of [Walsgrave-on-]Sowe, Warwickshire will go to Mary Friswell and her issue; the testator gives his sons Thomas and William, M. Friswell and his daughter Sarah Goodyer 1/- each; John Goodyer should be reimbursed any future expenses incurred on behalf of the testator or Alice; Alice is named executrix and will enjoy the residuary estate.
