This Colin Saxton oil painting shows Pru Porretta's first ride as Godiva in 1982. She is shown on a white horse in front of the old Cathedral ruins. The horse is facing left with its head turned to the right. The woman wears a long blonde wig and sits on a crimson cloth over a sidesaddle. An effect of sunlight from the left casts purple shadows on the paved area on which the horse stands. A window at the top of the ruins shows clouds. The Cathedral buttresses are to the left and right.
