This oil painting, done in 1911 by S. Isobel Dacre shows a landscape from a high vantage point. A town is visible from the bottom left to centre right. A large church with plain walls and a tall tower is positioned right of centre while monastery buildings are in the centre. To the left is a valley with a vast expanse of low-lyinh land and water in the distance and mountains behind. Buildings a roofs are coloured in cream and brown and shadows on the hills in purple. The background is largely pale blue, purple, cream, and green.
