HILLMAN

Coventry Transport Museum
This car is probably a pre-production car or the first car made for sale. It is therefore believed to be the first Hillman Minx. It has chassis number M1 and originally had engine number M1. It is also believed to be the car that was displayed at the 1931 London Olympia Motorshow to launch the Hillman Minx range. Brass Plate on the driver's side of the bulkhead (under the bonnet) reads Car No M1, Chassis No M1, Engine No M1.
