(ap) woodland (general); and (aq) whatever else should come to the corporation as a consequence of the [Guilds and Chantries Dissolution Act, 1547]: together these are worth £196/9/3 (but to the Crown are reserved "Bondes landes" (£49/12/7)), to be held in free socage [feudally a catchall agricultural tenure, it survived the decline of feudalism and became defined as freehold as opposed to copyhold], rendering:- for nine messuages (occupied by John Eyborne, John Fawkes, James Fermour, William Tramper, John Ebarne, John Mayle, William Hurley, Richard Brystowe and John Birde) in Spon Street, for all other Corpus Christi Guild property there, for seven Cross Cheaping messuages (occupied by Thomas Wheteley, Thomas Clarke, Thomas Wilkocks, John Marshall, Henry Thirkyll, Robert Andrewes and Thomas Spencer), all in Cross Cheaping which was Corpus Christi Guild property, three messuages in Smithford Street (held by John Perkins, William Stafford and James Mathewe) which were Corpus Christi Guild property, all ex-Corpus Christi Guild premises let to John Tedde, Ford's or Pisford's Charity or almshouses property and what pertained to Shepey's, Percy's and Loddington's Chantries, the 35/2 per annum rent due to Holy Trinity Guild (upon premises tenanted by Henry Over, William Cotton, the Mercers' Company, Hugh Blower, William Norton and Henry Kebell's heirs), Our Lady Lande, 24 Little Park Street cottages (inhabited by John Foster, Richard Townesend, Agnes Robyns, James Preston', William Stanley, William Snowden, William Wynde, Thomas Johnson, Richard Hethe, John Langley, Anthony Lawton, John Wilkockes, William Glover, Thomas Heethe, John Sambroke, Andrew Doryngton, Henry Heeth', Thomas Bounde, Liod's late wife [sic], Hamet Bryme, Alice Warren, George Felde and John Foster) which were sometime Trinity Guild property, also five messuages and a parcel of land in Earl Street (demised to Alice Enderby, Oliver Foster, Richard Hardy, John Nethermyll and Henry Over; sometime Trinity Guild property), 28 tenements and cottages in Spon Street (inhabited by Hugh Atkyns, John Haynes, Robert Cockeyn', Helen Grenewaye, John Baugeley, Robert Turnour, Richard Prate, Richard Gregorie, John Bateman', John Gardener, George Barlowe, John Kytchyn's wife, John Rogers, John Bennett, William Cryche, William King, John Rayner, John Cokys, Richard Northroppe, Robert Procter, Richard Shelton', Thomas Page, Thomas Trustram, William Bedell, Maurice Bedle, Richard Mawbourne, Henry Joyner and Joan Bayley; sometime Trinity Guild property), eight Cross Cheaping tenements (occupied by Richard Hardy, William Thomson', John Ripton, Richard Warner, John Shepherd', Hugh Delawaye, James Rogers and John Harforde; once Trinity Guild's) £90 to the Court of Augmentations: all these pass to the corporation but reserving annual rents of 12d. from Corpus Christi Guild premises to Master Stokes, 3/4 likewise to John Hales (esq.), 5/- to John Nethermyll, 6/- thus to Christopher Rice for chief rent, 3/- similarly to Edward Aston (knight), 13/4 to the city chamber for murage, 20/- thus for the fee of the bailiff and collector of former guild lands, 27/- similarly for farm of a new Corpus Christi Lane tenement for maintenance of the poor, 3/- from Merynton's Chantry to the chamber, 2/- from Copston's Chantry for murage to the chamber, 4d. from Hayes' Chantry to the chamber, 3/- from Copston's Chantry to William Stoke for chief rent, 18d. from Preston's Chantry to the chamber for murage, 20d. from Allesleye's Chantry to the chamber likewise, 2/- from Percy's Chantry similarly, 2/8 from [Loddington's] Chantry to John Hales (esq.) for chief rent, 16d. from the same to the chamber for murage, 15d. from [Shepey's] Chantry to the Duchess of Richmond in right of Coombe Abbey, 2/6 from the same for murage to the chamber, £5/13/4 granted to Gilbert Blont (gentleman)) for bailiff's fee for part of the premises (p[ro] feodo Ballivi parcell[a] premiss[orum]), 78/2 from [Shepey's] Chantry to the vicar or priest of [Walsgrave-on-]Sowe, 13/4 from Hayes' Chantry to the vicar of Foleshill to augment his vicarage, £9/15/- from Pisford's Chantry to the corporation as alms for the poor according to the directions of Walter Myldmay (knight) and Robert Kelway (esq.) as Crown commissioners, 3/4 from premises formerly maintaining years' minds (anniversarior[um]) which Walter Mildmay and Robert Kelway have been appointed to distribute in alms, 7/6 from Keresley lands (part of Pisford's Chantry) payable to Henry Over, 3/- from a tenement called "Glovers Roo" which was formerly a Trinity Guild possession and of the possessors (possessor[um]) of Cheylesmore Manor, 5/- from Trinity Guild premises now payable to the corporation, 2/10 from Trinity Guild premises payable to Thomas Lewes and his heirs, 2/- from one thus payable to Lord Burgeveney and his heirs, 21/- thus to Humphrey Ferr[er]s (knight) and his heirs, 16d. from same to Lord Burgaveney and his heirs, 8/- thus to John Hales (esq.) in right of the prior of Coventry, 15/- similarly in right of St. John Baptist's Hospital, 6/8 likewise generally, 9/- from Trinity Guild to William Stokes (esq.) and his heirs, 10/- from same to Thomas Whyte of Bristol and his heirs, 8/- likewise to Henry Kebulls' heirs, 12d. from Trinity Guild to the corporation, 2/- from same to the Duchess of Richmond in right of Coombe Abbey, 4/- from same to David Owen (knight) and his heirs, £4 from same to the chamber for murage, £6 from the guild for the bailiff or collector of its former revenues, and £6 from the same to the supervisor of repairs to guild property.
