Whereby for £65 Amillyon Holbech (of Coventry, yeoman) and his wife Ruth (a daughter of Francis Phippes of Coventry, gentleman, deceased) sell to Stephen Darker (of Coventry, cook) and his wife Joyce two messuages on the western side of Little Park Street (between one lately occupied by Bryan Ball (apothecary, lately dead), now by the widow Agnes Saunders on the south and a messuage lately occupied by Thomas Warton but now by John Quinborowe on the north), formerly three, lately inhabited by Margery Barrowes (widow, deceased) and John Tatam and Katherine Tresham (widow), now by Alice Baylies (widow), Ralph Talbot (cobbler) and Isabel Astley (widow), which Francis Phippes bought from Margery Barrowes; the Holbeches indemnify against claims by Richard Clarke (of Coventry, alderman [draper]) and the heirs of the late Richard and Margery Barrowes; covenant for further assurance within seven years and ten miles.
