By Henry Smith, Thomas Love, Matthew Smith and Samuel Snell (aldermen), Robert Bedford (gentleman), William Jeliff (alderman) and Robert Beake (gentleman), surviving priory estate feoffees, to Francis Perkins (of Coventry, miller) of Priory, alias Aston's, Mill, with an adjacent messuage, together comprising five bays and a shore, wherein are three corn mills (one each for wheat, maslin [a mixture of rye and wheat] and rye, and malt), also the contiguous meadow (0.5a. 17p.), but allowing the feoffees access to "Potle" Yard, Chantry Close, etc. with cattle driven through a gate from Bullring Street to those lands, and across the premises to Priors Orchard and Cook Street: to be held from 29 Sep 1665 for 31 years at £8 per annum plus a pair of capons at St. John Baptist's Day or 5/- in lieu; Francis Perkins will maintain the premises, including one pair of black millstones.
1 Jun 1666. Bond [sewn into main deed] whereby Francis Perkins (of Coventry, miller) and Francis Perkins senior (of Foleshill, Coventry, miller) are bound to Henry Smith et al in £60 to observe the main deed's covenants. [Former reference: 18 Charles II/5.]
