By the mayor, bailiffs and commonalty to Humphrey Sewall (of Coventry, butcher) of (a) a garden adjoining his tenement which he occupies in Hill Cross on the western side outside Well Street Gate (between Simon Arderne, gentleman's land on the south and Humphrey Sewall's curtilage on the north), and (b) a croft adjacent (between Simon Arderne's land on the south and the corporation's on the north, (a) on the west and Hill Mill Brook on the east): to be held for ever at 8/- per annum with distraint if rent fall behindhand [no time-limit]; the corporation appoints Thomas Gregorie (of Coventry [,Town Clerk]) attorney to deliver seisin.
